Scott Meyer is the founder of MapMyVotes. He's a software developer and entrepreneur based in Fargo, North Dakota, where he previously founded Chipp, a no-code platform for AI applications. He builds tools that make professional-grade software accessible to people who don't normally have the budget for it.
Available for interviews on the underserved local-campaign market, the case for transparent SaaS pricing in political tech, the technical pipeline behind voter-list geocoding at scale, or what it's like building an independent civic-tech tool from the upper Midwest.

"A friend of mine ran for school board and got quoted $5,000 by NGP VAN to map 12,000 voters. The race itself costs $3,000 to run. He used a paper map. That gap is what MapMyVotes fixes."
— Scott Meyer, Founder
"The existing tools assume you're either a state party with a budget line for software or a campaign that doesn't exist. There's a school-board candidate every two years in every district in America who needs walk lists by Tuesday and has $50 to spend. That's who we're building for."
— Scott Meyer, Founder
"Charging per voter geocoded is the obvious right pricing model in hindsight, but no incumbent does it. Subscription pricing punishes the off-cycle race. Per-voter punishes nothing — you pay for the work the software actually did, once, and re-uploading next cycle is free for addresses we've already mapped."
— Scott Meyer, Founder
MapMyVotes is a Next.js 16 application deployed on Vercel, with Postgres 17 + PostGIS 3.5 (Neon) as the spatial database, Drizzle ORM, Clerk for authentication, and Stripe Billing for credit-based metering ($0.01 per unique address geocoded). The marketing site at mapmyvotes.com is a static deployment on Cloudflare Pages.
Geocoding goes through Geocodio (US-focused, sub-meter rooftop accuracy) with the US Census Geocoder as a fallback. Markers are then snapped to the nearest mapped building footprint via OpenStreetMap and Microsoft's open USBuildingFootprints dataset, both loaded into PostGIS. The map UI is Leaflet with marker clustering and polygon-draw plugins.
Auto-split for N volunteers is an angular pie-slice partition from the polygon's centroid: voters are sorted by angle around the centroid and split at evenly-spaced ranks, giving each volunteer a contiguous wedge with roughly equal door count.
The app supports the Stripe Agentic Commerce Protocol: the product feed at /api/acp/products is discoverable today, and the four ACP checkout endpoints are scaffolded pending Stripe Agentic Commerce Suite waitlist activation. AI agents acting on a user's behalf will be able to purchase credits autonomously once the redemption side goes live.
